PTA
Welcome to the Ashford Hill Primary School PTA page!
We are the Ashford Hill Primary School Parent Teacher Association - We are a registered charity that runs to support the activities of Ashford Hill Primary School – all parents, guardians, carers and teachers are automatically members of the association.
We exist to support Ashford Hill Primary School and have two aims: to fundraise for the school to provide some of the extras that the school budget cannot otherwise cover and to contribute to building the sense of community we have at Ashford Hill – by putting on fun events and supporting other school events
In the past few years, we have fundraised via:
- Bag2School collections
- Easy Fundraising
- Film Clubs
- Halloween and Summer Discos
- Christmas Parties, Christmas Hamper Raffle and Wreath Making
- Second Hand Uniform sales
- Easter Egg Hunt
- Bake Sales
- Ice Cream Fridays and Sports Day Ice Creams
- Colour run
And we have been able to donate the following (plus more!):
- New blinds for the school hall
- The wooden play area
- Replacement PE Equipment
- Read, Write, Inc. phonics scheme
- Picnic Benches
- Coaches for school trips (theatre trips, Pantomime)
- Library Books
- Library Refurbishment
- A new piano
- Y6 SATs trip
- A new Christmas tree
- Classroom book corner grants
- Literacy equipment
The PTA Committee
The current Members of the PTA committee are:-
Co-Chairs – Gemma Day and Becky Hall • Co-Vice Chairs - Sharon Quant and Emily Bernard
Treasurer – Amanda Keable • Secretary – Sophie Marchetti
Staff Representative – Kirsty Kingham
Plus we have over 20 other members and helpers within the Parents/Teacher community at Ashford Hill Primary!
Would you like to get involved?
We welcome any volunteers who would like to join the PTA as a member or helper - even if it is just to help at one event per year! Any help is always hugely appreciated.
All parents/carers and teachers are welcome to our meetings and yearly AGM. These are a great opportunity to share ideas on how we can further our fundraising efforts and how best to donate funds to the school.
Speak to a member of the PTA in the playground at pick up/drop off and they will be able to point you in the right direction. Alternatively, you can email us on ah.pta.chair@gmail.com. We look forward to welcoming you onto the Ashford Hill Parent Teacher Association.
